Every project starts with a conversation. For people looking to buy a transportable home, this early stage is about more than choosing a plan. We want to understand what is driving your project, what you are hoping to achieve, and how the Pod needs to work in real life. How will it be used? Who is it for? What is already happening on the property? Are there any site challenges or practical requirements we should be aware of early on?
This is also the stage where we begin looking closely at the site itself. Where needed, that can include a site visit to assess location, access, placement, and orientation. The better we understand the property and the purpose of the Pod, the easier it is to guide the next steps clearly and shape a process that feels realistic, well organised, and easier to manage.

Once we have a clear picture of the project, we can start narrowing in on the right solution. That includes the right size, layout, level of specification, and any changes or upgrades that could make the Pod work better for its intended use.
Sometimes the answer sits within one of our standard designs. Other times, it may involve refining the layout or selecting features that better suit the site, the budget, or the people who will be living in it. Our role is to help make those decisions feel clear and well-informed, so the Pod you choose feels right in both the bigger picture and the day-to-day detail.

Once we understand what you need, we can move into pricing. Standard Pods can often be quoted quickly. Larger Pods or more complex sites may require additional checks on delivery, crane access, foundations, or other site requirements before everything is confirmed.
We also believe in being realistic about the wider project cost. Depending on the site, there may be costs related to foundations, geotech, services, consent, crane hire, or access works. We would rather talk about those things early and give you a realistic picture of the wider project cost than leave people filling in the gaps later.

Once you are happy to move ahead, we formalise the project through the Sales & Purchase Agreement. This is where the agreed-upon design, specifications, and key project details are clearly recorded so everyone understands what is being delivered and how the project will proceed. We also work through different agreement pathways depending on whether the project requires site consent or not.
From there, the job moves to the drafting team for the final working drawings. Locking these details in early helps keep the project moving, supports planning and approvals where needed, and reduces the risk of avoidable changes later on.

Once the design is signed off, your Pod moves into production. Because we build in a controlled factory environment, we can maintain strong quality assurance throughout the build. Our team takes real pride in what they do, with skilled people at every station helping make sure the finished result meets the standard we are known for.
At the same time, we are also looking ahead to what needs to happen on site, including foundations, access, and delivery planning. A smooth project depends on good coordination as much as a good build, which is why we keep both sides moving together.

By the time delivery day arrives, a lot of planning has already happened behind the scenes. We manage the entire delivery process and work with the relevant people to ensure the Pod is delivered and positioned as planned. If there is a subcontractor on site completing foundations, we liaise with them beforehand to ensure everything lines up properly.
That includes practical considerations such as site access, foundation readiness, clearances, lifting requirements, and the wider delivery method. Some sites are more complex than others, but we do not assume a project is too hard or not possible. The important thing is to understand the constraints early and find the most practical solution.

Once your Pod is in place, that is not the point where we disappear. We provide the relevant documentation, warranties, and guidance information, including the Podlife Bible, which covers maintenance, how-to information, and practical answers to common questions. Certificates and sign-offs are also provided as they are issued.
We stay in touch after delivery as well, with follow-up support to help make sure everything has landed well. Podlife also provides a 3-year defect warranty and up to 10 years product warranty, giving clients extra confidence in the home they have invested in.
