How it all works

Delivery & Installation

Seeing your Pod arrive on site is a big moment. We make sure the planning, coordination, and practical details are organised early so everything is ready when delivery day arrives.

Every Site Is Different

No two sites are exactly the same. Getting your Pod to your site takes planning, coordination, and the right preparation before delivery day arrives. By the time the truck rolls in, a lot has already happened behind the scenes to make sure the Pod can get in, be placed safely, and be installed properly on site.

This stage is not only about transport. It is also about site readiness, foundation preparation, positioning, and ensuring the Pod is ready to connect to the services it needs.

"...they have been amazing...”

"Professional and understanding! My pod is absolutely beautiful. I am highly satisfied with the Podlife team, who supported and gave clear explanations of the next steps during the entire process. From the beginning stages of looking at options, transporting, setting up, to the final stage of Council consent, they have been amazing. Regardless of distance, the team at Podlife have been absolutely amazing in every aspect. I highly recommend this company."

The Delivery & Install process

Getting your site ready

Before delivery is booked, the site needs to be ready for installation. That usually means the foundations or building platform are in place, access is clear, and there is enough room for the Pod to be offloaded and positioned safely.

We also need to understand anything that could affect delivery or installation, such as trees, overhead lines, slope, soft ground, or tight turning areas. These details help shape the safest and most practical approach for the site.

Preparing for Transport

Delivery is a major milestone, but it starts well before the Pod leaves our yard. We need to consider how the Pod will reach the site, what access is available, how much room there is for manoeuvring, and what equipment may be needed to place it safely.

That is why we work through these details early. The better the preparation, the easier it is to keep delivery day well planned and well managed.

Set Down and Fixed in Place

Once your Pod arrives, the focus turns to placement. Depending on the site, that may involve a Hiab or a crane to lift and position the Pod onto its foundations.

From there, the Pod is fixed in place and attached to the prepared foundation system. This is a key part of the installation process, helping make sure the Pod is stable, properly positioned, and ready for the next stage of the project.

Power, Water and Waste

Once the Pod is in position, the next step is making sure it can be connected to the services it needs, such as power, water, wastewater, and septic, where required.

The exact setup will depend on the site, but these connections are an important part of turning the Pod into a practical living space. Planning for them early helps the wider project run more smoothly.
